Each year, New Year’s resolution lists contain promises to ourselves to become healthier. Healthier is defined by most of us as lifelong changes in habits such as eating, drinking, and physical activity. Even if you do not need to lose weight, you should still follow healthy eating and exercise habits to help prevent weight gain in order to maintain good overall health. Regular physical activity not only helps to drop pounds, but it improves your energy level and mood, lowers your risk for developing heart disease, diabetes, certain cancers, and joint problems.
